The HiFiStay Absolute Point Anti-Vibrational Resonance Control Feet are based on HiFiStay’s flagship Absolute Point design, the company’s top-performing resonance control solution.
This edition represents a special collaboration between HiFiStay and ChicagoHiFi, in which the original Absolute Point has been specifically modified and mechanically adapted to replace the stock feet on the Taiko Olympus and Taiko Olympus I/O.
Design Rationale
The Taiko Olympus platform exhibits a uniquely complex vibration profile due to its copper-and-aluminum chassis construction. Through extensive experimentation with racks, stands, and isolation solutions - often with mixed results - we encountered HiFiStay during a collaborative HiFi show. The sonic improvement achieved with the Absolute Point feet was immediately and unmistakably significant.
Following that experience, HiFiStay worked with ChicagoHiFi to adapt its top-performing Absolute Point design for direct compatibility with Taiko components, preserving its core resonance-control technology while optimizing the mechanical interface for the Olympus platform.
Taiko-Specific Modifications
This version of the Absolute Point includes:
- Custom-machined stainless steel caps and mounting screws
- Direct replacement compatibility for the Olympus and Olympus I/O
- Optimized coupling to Taiko’s chassis geometry and mass characteristics
These changes ensure correct mechanical grounding and consistent performance when installed in place of the original Taiko feet.
Placement Recommendations
In our experience, the most significant improvement is achieved when these feet are installed under the Olympus I/O.
If you are running an Olympus + I/O combination and have only one set to evaluate, we recommend placing them under the I/O first.
For maximum performance: Use two sets — one under the Olympus and one under the I/O.
If you are using an Olympus without an I/O, install the feet directly under the Olympus. Many listeners report improvements comparable to a component-level upgrade, and most never return to the stock or other third-party feet.
They also work great on the Taiko router, switch, and DCD.
